Analysis:

Villain here is a maniac (38/20) over a small sample size of 80+.

When villain called my cbet on a dry board, I put him on air float with Ace high as well as sets or single pair hand since he has low fold-to-cbet%.

Thus, at turn, I decided that if I bet, I am chasing away bluffs and weak hands and get sets to call me. Thus I checked trying to induce bluff from him.

Against these kind of maniac, I have already decided to adopt a higher variance play and prepare to stack him off.

Thus I check call both turn and river.

The river car isn't really helpful to him since if he was bluffing, the river king wouldnt be helping him much.

Another rather similar hand....

Analysis:

Again, in this hand, I chose to call villain turn raise and allow him to bluff river. The reason is because his line doesnt make sense and he can't represent a strong hand logically often enough. Perhaps a TT hand plays like this. But how frequent does that happen?
