Learning Point:

  • Villain is a guy who likes to 3 bet alot, especially when it comes to defending his blinds.
  • Therefore, when he 3 bet me, I do not treat his 3 bet as strong hands. Thus I called his 3 bet since we were both rather deep stacked and I believe I can outplay him post flop in position.
  • The flop gave me some good equities and vs the villain 3 bet, I decided to shove since I have a good amount of fold equity as well as pot equity.
  • To my surprise, the fish called with just a middle pair in a 3bet pot.
  • Even though this hand is a coin flip when I shove at flop, I believe this play is certainly profitable in the long run.
